Hong Kong Mobile Game Start-Ups Support Program
Highlights of the Support Program:
A maximum of 10 Hong Kong start-ups will each receive HK$150,000 for developing a mobile game
Mentorship in game improvement and marketing will be provided to selected game start-ups by industry professionals
The games developed under the Support Program will be promoted in networking event for the participating start-ups to explore business opportunities with local publishers and game-related channels
Application Deadline: 20 Jun 2016
A company is eligible to apply for funding and professional support to develop a mobile game under the Support Program if it is:
A local business holding valid business registration certificate;
A business with primary focus on game production or development; and
A start-up with no more than five years of history (as at the date of the application deadline) and eight full time staff or below
The “Hong Kong Mobile Game Start-Ups Support Program” is organised by the Hong Kong Game Industry Association and sponsored by Create Hong Kong (CreateHK) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to provide a comprehensive support for local game start-ups to develop their original game content with a well-structured training program, including funding support for game development, professional advices for improving their games developed under the Support Program and marketing knowledge.
The Support Program nurtures a group of game start-ups with a view to upgrading the standard of Hong Kong games.
The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region provides funding support to the project only, and does not otherwise take part in the project.
